Folliculitis Does It Cause Diffuse Thinning?

Hi everyone. I have a small question. I started to have pimples on my scalp since about 2013. It kept going and coming back. Anytime I caught a cold for example and I would take Antibiotics it would all disappear and then once I stop taking Antibiotics it would return about a month after.

Anyways just can Folliculitis cause diffuse thinning? If so is it permanent? Thanks.
