Hi guys!

I know this topic is under a constant debate but I would really appreciate some guidelines from you. Okay, so this is the story:

I've been on the liquid Rogaine for a few years now with varying success. The downside is definately that it fucked up my scalp. I developed some dandruff problems and it were itching and flaking quite a bit. 8/9 months ago I tried Rogaine foam instead, which instantly had a good impact on my scalp's condition. However, I started shedding(receding hairline) quite severely and in panic I stopped the foam after 3-4 months. I then went back to the liquid and my hairline once again stabilized. However, the itching and flaking returned.

6 months ago I started with 0.5 mg finasteride and two months ago I once more decided to try the foam. This time I only apply it in the morning while using the liquid in the evenings. My scalp is much better. The thing is that the shedding (hairline) is back. On the positive side ( I noticed this also the first time on foam) I see quite a lot of new vellus hairs taking place on areas I considered "lost". This is also why I think I'm gonna stay on the foam this time. It doesn't make any sense that the foam could be more effective on "dead" areas and at the same time be more brut
al on the existing hairline (without any regrowth that is). At least it's counterintuitive for me.

I'm also using Revita shampoo on regular basis.

Would really appreciate some of your thoughts guys!

Best regards,

Kaboom

all i can say is that foam made me shed a lot of hair, way way more than the liquid ever did but i stuck to it and im seeing much better results than with the liquid. The liquid really made my head and hair feel nasty and greasy and of course it gave me white flakes (dried minoxidil i think). The foam is hugely superior in my view.I would stick to your foam/liquid regime and just ride it out :)

Hans,

quick update here. I am still losing my hairline being on the foam. I do see some new vellus hairs, which did not grow while I was on the liquid. However, the foam is still obviously tougher on my hairline than the liquid. What's your thought on this? I now it's just a few months on the foam now, but the result are not that impressing, needless to say. It's just that I cannot see any logic in the foam being tougher on the hairline (than the liquid), while at the same time being better in producing new vellus hairs. It just doesn't make sense.

I am still using liquid during the nights and foam on the day.

I've been using a ration of 5 (liquid) to 1 (foam) for 4 months now. My vertex has slightly improved but my frontal area has gotten worse. I don't get it. It helped one area but made another area worse. Weird

my entire crown was miniaturised about 3 years ago,its now probably only 30-40% miniaturised, the hairs have become longer and thicker.

Foam never worked for me neither. I think it must worked for some ppl, otherwise no one would buy it.

I was probably in the same boat you were, after tried out the foam for 3 months without results, I immediately went back to 5% liquid.

But have you seen the box now is blue instead of black? i don't like the blue box because somehow it's not as effective as the black box, I know some ppl said they are identical.
