Foam to Liquid

Okay,so recently i.e. two weeks ago,I finally decided to switch to the liquid[Rogaine] due to the cheaper cost, easier application as my hair is now at medium length and also due to studies claiming that it is more effective.I also had some foam left so I have been using quarter cap of the foam in the morning along with it.

To my pleasant surprise,I noticed that my hair at front which looked lifeless prior to last week is now looking dark and healthy.I think the liquid is responsible for this and I have decided to permanently stick with it.

The reason why I stopped the liquid [store brand] last time around was due to the strong scent[gave me headaches],eye redness which stayed as long as I applied the liquid.I did have some eye irritation for a few days last week but I have absolitely none now.

So far no shedding, itching or any other side effect.Soon I will be stopping the foam altogether and will post if I notice any change in the coming weeks.

Has anyone else experienced problems with scented Minoxidil ?

BTW my Doctor recommended me to try the Minoxidil from here

Havent tried liquid myself but noticed over the past 2-3 years some have said switching too liquid gave better results while others argued it was the same or that foam was better.

I think im gonna try liquid at the front of my head with a 3 month pack and see if theres any remote improvment also :)

I think it is worth it as it is much cheaper than the foam and after switching to the liquid my hair is only looking better. It easily gets to the scalp as I have long hair and the foam was a little difficult to apply in regions with more hair.So far no shedding or any other annoying sides that I had before.I am even considering applying it twice a day in case I am not able to darken the tiny hairs that have popped up recently[due to finasteride] in my temples.

f*** me sideways.....My skin looked a tad darker and worst of all,I had plenty of breakouts in my forehead for the last couple of weeks.I have switched to the foam for the last 4 days and it seems like all these undesirable signs are getting better.I'll judge on whether I should give the liquid one last chance in the coming weeks.

Thx for the update, sounds like the liquid didnt go too well on your skin ?

Im in 2 minds atm cos really after almost 3 years of using the big 3 am thinking its maybe just all a con, Rogain foam has gave me dead tiny hairs which sometimes are there and sometimes not there sadly not normal hairs so im thinking the only good thing foam has done is make my hair appear thicker !

nizoral shampoo also the samething... just makes my hair thicker and doesnt give any growth.

finasteride tabs just seem to give me dark circles around my eyes so im looking tired and feel tired always this has become more evident now ive taken my specs off and had Laser eye surgery !

Perhaps it is maintaining my hair and ill regret this but just thinking of stopping it all lol

Yes I believe I am allergic to the liquid.....I want to find out for sure,so once all the acne clears up,I am going to give it one last try.

I dont think minoxidil regrew a lot for me.It just darkened the existing lot and I managed to gain some peach fuzz at the front.I noticed improvements only after starting finasteride.I am not ready to apply MIN twice a day yet.

I'll update on this soon.
