Hey guys,

Long time lurker and first time poster. Just wondering what everyone’s take is on the status of my hairline? Looks like quite the recession. Seems like i’m a Norwood 2 and i’m worried it’ll get worse, I’ve been thinking it’s maturing but I have no idea. Given the pictures should I hop on finasteride or something? Any advice would be helpful.

Thank you.

try minoxidil first imo and then do research of finasteride. Your frontal doesn't look bad imo.

How old are you? I'm reluctant to advise someone to try lots of treatments when they have very little hairloss. You do seem to have a little on the crown maybe. Hard to judge without previous photos to compare. I would advise the opposite to the above. I would say finasteride would maintain what you have and many people experience regrowth even from just finasteride alone. Minoxidil is a lifetime commitment of putting stuff on your hair every day. It's really for regrowth when you've lost significant hair. I would think hard before getting on either though. Be sure that you're losing first.

Im 26. I’ve noticed a bit of this recession started when I was around 24. Regarding the crown, don’t know if that was how my hair was styled but when it lays normally the crown seems pretty covered.
