First Thinning At The Front Of The Hairline: How Much Hair Am I Going To Lose?

OK, so on Tuesday I noticed that the very, very, front of my hairline in the centre of my head is thinning.
I always had kind of pronounced widows peaks, usally hidden under the folds of my hair which I generally wear long, but they've receded in, albeit very little. I'm a natural worrier by disposition but even without giving in to my nature what I've read online would appear to indicate it's a traditional beginning of a receding hairline. The peaks are not greatly sunken in further than the hair on the centre of my head, in fact given the the way that the forehead curves it feels like its in a completely straight line when I run my fingers along it. But the hair in the centre is thinning and there do seem to be miniature hairs, some of which have fallen out.

That said, there doesnt seem to be any thinning anywhere else, even on the crown. I did the "pull test" and the "comb test" and if anything LESS than the average amount of hairs came out. My pillow only had about 5 or 6 hairs when I woke up in the morning and when I had a shower only about 15 hairs came out (no clumps.)
I've had 3 pharmacists look at it saying it's just the natural thinning of hair from age and that there appeared to be know break in the coverage anywhere else and that I shouldnt worry anytime soon but it's still happening in the place it shouldnt be in from what the internet is telling me. I havent been to a barber yet to ask his opinion but I will go see one.

Im 31 so I think im two old for it to be a maturing hairline (and even if it was then there probably wouldnt be thinning.) My hairline has always been high looking at pictures of myself from 7 or 8 years ago and looking at pictures from two years ago there's only a slight recession at the temples and the locks on the front of the head where always fine enough, but there is definitely thinning. Hopefully, its just moving very slowly.

In my family only my mother's father (who I know is the single most important person unfortunately) had signifant hair loss - he eventually went totally bald but not until he was in his 50s, until then he had all his hair. My other grandfather, my father, all of my uncles on both sides have (or had) thin hair but are entirely covered (my other grandfather started to lose that but not until he was nearly 80!.)

I do think its classical male pattern baldness unfortunately but my main question is - just because my hairline is receeding slowly does it mean ill develope bald spots all over or lose most of my hair? Or could I be mostly covered over but with a high hairline? Any thoughts?

Also - the front of my scalp where the thinning is occuring feels raw and sore - like somebody's been pulling my hair. I really noticed it when I was out in the wind. Is that normal for normal balding or does indicate there might be a skin or scalp problem instead?
