Hey Guys,

I'm currently experimenting with Saw Palmetto.. i will probably eventually be starting Finasteride, its been about 2 months on SP with nada to show for it.

The hair on the front vertex of my head is starting to get that wispy look and wont stand up straight, hair next to it had that happen and then eventually came out. In General my hair is starting to look thinner up front.

Anyways im wondering if i was to start finasteride in the middle of those hairs becoming wispy ASSUMING i am a good responder to finasteride do those hairs eventually then get stronger and return to normal? Or is that now how the process works? Do they need to die off and get replaced?

If they just became thinner and more miniaturized very recently you have a high likelihood of reinforcing those follicles to have them regrow as terminal hairs.

I'm 3 months in and haven't seen any progress yet besides less shedding the past couple of days. finasteride is known to work best for thinners, so I'd imagine that would apply to your scenario.

It's definitely worth a shot man! Good luck!

I would discontinue with using Saw Palmetto considering nothing about it has ever been scientifically proven to help treat androgenic baldness. Stay on Finasteride and give the treatment more time, two months is too short of a time span to come to any conclusion.
