I must have missed the thread that addressed the Finpecia/Propecia topic, I assume there had to be one at some point. Anyway, thinking about going generic, and Cilpa seems to be the main producer of generic. Just want to hear some stories good or bad about it, someone has tried Finpecia here I assume. I know what's in Propecia, hope it's the same with generic finasteride, which seems produced out of India. I imagine more than a few people have pondered on which way to go, generic or regular. Input?

As I understand both Finpecia and Propecia both contain the chemical Finasteride in a 1mg dose.

It's like saying which is better? Silver Spoon Brand Sugar or Asda Brand Sugar - doesn't matter they're both crystalline sucrose. Silver Spoon charge more because of brand and originality, Asda are cheaper because of simple packaging (excluding complex economic matters).

So, they're the same chemical in the the same quantity - essentially they're the same.

I have been on Finpecia for 2 years now with great results.
I pay 70 quid for a years supply vs 30 quid for a month (prescription Finasteride)
