Finisteride And Fatigue, Any Connection?

So, I finally managed to get a prescription for Finisteride, the derm was very supportive and understanding about not wanting to lose my hair in my early 30s and definitely saw how much thinning was taking place. I wanted to chronicle my progress (or lack of) so that other people could see what was going on and maybe if it could help them as well. I just began the medicine about 5 days ago, I shaved my head fairly short and took some current pictures to show where I am, and was hoping to take a few over the course of a year to see if anything changed, and to post them here. Unfortunately, ever since the second day on this medication, i've felt very tired throughout the day with mild headaches and extremely slight blurred vision that accompanies it, along with I guess some 'brain fog' if you will. It has been a daily constant for 3 or so days now.

I was wondering if this is a typical symptom and if so, if it has a chance of subsiding. All the side effects I read about were related to sex drive, erection issues and things of that nature, to which I have not felt any negative impact yet, just feeling like i'm being dragged to a sleepy place. Oddly, I feel like my sleep quality also feels deeper when I am sleeping, just something seems to be going on.

I plan to try and continue to press on as this is my last line of defense, but figured i'd post about it and see if more knowledgeable folk have any advice or knowledge to share. I would really hope this mostly goes smoothly so that not only can I help myself, but also maybe help others.

I am sorry you have this symptoms this are well correlated with finasteride. I don't think this are symptoms that normally subsidy but you can try it for maybe 1-2 week and maybe have time-off to truly feel your body this first period. I think this kind of symptoms are more likely to get worse. But first off you should quit finasteride and restart after it get better to be certain that it is finasteride thats causing the effects. Then after if you think you can tolerate the symptoms stick with it 2 weeks, if the symptoms doesntget better my recomendation is to strongly quit taking the drug.

I'd be kinda devastated if I had to stop taking it as I have no other method to stop my hair loss that I know of :(

I'm taking about 1MG myself, or rather a 5MG capsule cut into 4 pieces, but that is what the doctor suggested.

I should also mention I take a very low does (10mg) of a medicine called nortriptyline nightly, it's supposed to help with an acid reflux issue I have, so those are the only medications I take. I didn't feel like this until I began taking finasteride though :(
