Hi im planning on starting treatment as im 95% sure im losing hair but now that my nizoral & fincar have came i am scared to start fincar :shakehead: has anyone else felt like this when starting i feel very reluctant to start as once you start its for life & i know ill be paranoid about it giving me side affects once i swallow it :sobbing:

You either have to take the meds or resign yourself to losing your hair. You have a relatively small chance of side effects so don't be paranoid. In the unlikely event that you do experience sides, you can always stop using the meds if you find that your quality of life is affected.

Yes but i have read that affects can be permanent & affect your semen (having children), & lower your sex drive make you impotent ect

ok, thanks pal, just a question does finasteride help maintain my front? i know it says its only proven for helping the top & they cannot prove it helps the front but have people maintained or even had some regrowth?

Download Abode Acrobat. No you don't have to take it at exactly the same time each day. No it doesn't matter if you cut it into exact quarters or fifths.

yes but you aint guarenteed a full head of super thick hair, & only lasts for a few years

Current treatments are better at maintaining what you've got, rather than regrowing a lot of hair. Hence the importance of starting treatments EARLY. Once a follicle has 'died', as it were, that's pretty much it. If you're already extensively bald and you want the appearance of more hair, look into a hair transplant.

nah i still have alot of hair im only 21 but im about 90% certain im balding as my corners & on top are thinning and hair keep falling out when combing, showering ect, im just a little reluctant to start taking finasteride untill im 99% certain im receeding & plus due to the side affects, makes me feel ill just thinking about the pill taking away my libido & as its for prostate uke:

I have experienced no side effects whatsoever. The clinical trials revealed that around 2% of men experience side effects. They are generally mild and reversible if you discontinue treatment.

i have the fincar there ready to use i think im just going to wait a few more weeks & see if im definatley receeding, maybe im just getting a mature hairline, but ill admitt its very doubtful as it looks alot thinner above the coners like on top, id rather be able to cut the pill into equal 4ths also with losing no powder as it just makes me feel im not getting the right dosage, where can i just buy a small razor so i can cut them nice and even?

Getting a slightly uneven dose from day-to-day matters not one jot. DHT inhibition is fairly similar between 0.2mg/day and 5mg/day.

However, taking around about 1mg/day still offers the best cost-benefit over the long-term.

so taking slighty diffenrent does a day doesnt matter? i think i may start taking finasteride from tomorrow as my hair seems not bad when dry but is deffinately flatter & does look very thinner when wet, thnaks for the help pal
