Fincar 5mg

I'm a 19 year old boy been receding for a few years, going to add Fincar 5mg to my regimen. Do you guys reccommend I halve the pills or quarter them? as I was wondering what strength to start at? Thanks.

Definitely do not take the whole 5 mg at once. Try starting at .5 to avoid sides as much as you can. If you get a pill cutter, dividing the pill that way is possible.

10 for 5mg. You will need to get the 1mg version.

Get a nice pill cutter. They are very cheap and try not to obsess about equal sizes.

You should just cut them in to quarters or fifths. There isn't much difference in effect between 0.5mg and 1mg. You can use a pill cutter, but I prefer to use an exacto knife myself.

That seems incredibly fiddly, I'll start with 0.5 from 1mg pills and move on to 1mg from 5mg pills me thinks.

Doctor prescribed me 5mg, said to take 5mg daily haha that would destroy me. So I have a pill cutter and I'm fine quartering it to 1.25 but everything after that is very inconsistent, any tips from anyone else who cuts?

I also have been taking Saw Palmetto 900mg every night for almost 2 years, no side effects. Does anyone reccommend I continue?

If you take finasteride, then drop the Saw. Saw does the same thing...but about about 1/50th the strength (and, no, don't take 50x more Saw because then you'll have lots of problems). Personally, I would suggest to start at a lower dose, just so your body can get used to it (if it needs to). Take those quartered pills and use your fingernails, or a knife, to snip off the pointed edge until you have about 1/2 of that quartered pill. Take that for a month or 2. Don't worry about the pointed end that you snipped off, just let it fall down the sink because most of it's going to be powdered anyways, and 5mg of generic finasteride is so cheap that it's not going to affect your wallet.

I used a blade from an Exacto-knife and cut them on a paper towel so I wouldn't waste too much powder.

Thanks for the info, I tried quartering the pills and then halving the quarters with the cutter but it's just too damn uneven.

Must be difficult cutting it into even fifths, I can't even work out how you would do that.
