Finasteride without Minoxidil?

I'm 21 and I've been on finasteride for about 2 weeks now. I'm also using a keto shampoo 3 times a week. I decided not to start minoxidil because it seems rather annoying to apply and I don't want to be one of those people that starts it and stops it, resulting in a shed. Also, if I do all three and then get results, I'll have no idea whether its the minoxidil or the finasteride causing the best results.

Has anyone on here experience significant regrowth with finasteride alone? Or with finasteride and a keto shampoo? I'll include some pictures of my head below, and I'll take any recommendations. My plan is to stay on the finasteride + keto shampoo for at least 6 months and then I'll reconsider adding minoxidil. Thanks for any suggestions :).

I added a couple more photos in different lightning and of my forehead... the lighting really makes a huge difference sometimes. For some reason, the hair loss on the top of my head isn't really occurring the "crown" area (more towards the back as far I understand the "crown") but rather on the top of my head closer to my forehead. It's only visible there when I brush some of the hairs from the side of my head away, as I guess I'm doing kind of a combover right now.

Top of my head without the "combover":

Top of my head with the combover... hair loss is barely visible so I would be happy if it stayed just like this and didn't lose more:

my hair looks almots exactly like that, i'm using finasteride for 9 months now and unfortunately there is no sign of any result (in fact i think it became worse but that's kinda hard to tell, definitely no improvement whatsoever). maybe i'm losing just a fraction less but nothing significant really and it's devastating

Finasteride doesn't regrow hair. It stops the miniaturization process. The "healing" part is your body's job.

At your age, I would just use finasteride and see where you are at in a year.
