finasteride vs dutasteride?

Hi. I've been taken finasteride for over a year now without any result, it is simply not working for me.
So my question is what the defferent is between finasteride and dutasteride?
I'm considering to swich to dutasteride. Do you think that it could help me?

First of all, what do you meen by no results? Some people do not realise that they are actually benefitting from Finasteride by maintaing their hair, Just because you don't experiance regrowth doesn't meen the drugs not suppressing further hairloss.

Did you take before and after pictures to monitor your progress? Please post a picture of your current hairloss situation.

Dutasteride is like Finasteride on steroids, but there can be unwanted side effects with Dutasteride, and Dutaseteride carries an unkown risk of side effects from long term use. Because the drug is relativly new, and it is unclear what effects Dutasteride may have on the body of a young man starting the drug early in life.

I mean that since I've been taken the finesteride for over a year ago, i still loose my hair, and my temples are getting higher, and my hair still getting thinner.
I have some pictures on facebook, and I have looked at some older photos, and have without doubt less hair now than I had then. I guess that I'm just one of the few people what fenesteride doesn't work on.
Do you have any other suggestions what to do?

dutasteride blocks both the 5ar enzymes where as finasteride blocks only one effectively of the two. dutasteride scares a lot of people but there have been people on here who have found success on it. you might want to look into a good growth inducing product like minoxidil or some supplements in addition to your finasteride.

Im already on the minoxidil, it doesn´t work any more. In the beginning it worked fine, but about 1½ year later later, I started to loose hair again and the minoxidil just made some white stuff on my scalp. That was the time I decided to go on the finasteride. Now nothing is working
