Is this the basis for the AR upregulation theories in hair follicle/scalp?

I presume if it can occur in the prostate, then it can occur elsewhere in the body. Given a condition where T is increased from finasteride, AR is potentially increased, and higher skin sensitivity to androgens for some unlucky bastards like myself, i can see how hairloss could continue or be accelerated while using finasteride or even dutasteride.

We can do nothing about it you cant change your hair cells sensitivity to your hormones. Not using finasteride or dutasteride is not an option once you start it if you dont want your hair to be gone.

it doesnt affect hair follicles. this is why finas and dutas stop/ regrowth hairs.

if you do a search you will see the same with spironolactone. it's an antiandrogen that can stop hairloss. but there are 2 cases report increase the growth of prostate tumor only after 2 weeks !! ( and prostate growth is androgen dependent)
