so i just picked up 90 pills of propecia today, got it with the an attitude of "**** it, it's bothering me so i might as well do something about it and if side effects show i can always stop," but i'm starting to worry more about the side effects and the kind of information on them. obviously some people experience erectile dysfunction, etc., some do not. how worried should i really be about "permanent" ed or lowered libido? i'm 20 years old pretty hairy have a high sex drive and have frequent mood swings. i think i should see an endocrinologist about this but i wanted your opinions and your sources of information—some of the arguments against it seem too extreme to believe but they have me worried.

on a side note... how bad is the shedding from this ****? starting to think it might not even be worth it, i am taking biotin and multivitamins so maybe that will help, who knows. WP_20140614_006.jpgWP_20140614_003.jpgWP_20140614_004(1).jpg

finasteride does not cause permanent ED or any other permanent sides. In every single study placebo groups have same amount of permanent ED as finasteride groups. So unless you want to make the argument that sugar pills are just as bad for your dick as finasteride, than the only other conclusion is that finasteride does not cause permanent sides.

Initial shedding severity varies, some do not report it at all and it is not a good indicator if whether the drug is working for you. Biotion and vitamins will only increase hair growth rate slightly if anything, nothing else. I don't see why you see this as a bad thing and "not worth it" which makes absolutely no sense. If anything it is a good thing it means new stronger hairs are pushing out the old ones. If you are worried about shedding those hairs for good, the best way to do that is not take finasteride and you will be guaranteed to lose them
