Finasteride Should I Take It Now Or Later?

Just going to ask a few questions about it if that's okay!
Noticed recession about 2-3 weeks ago, and daily monitoring is showing further recession. I went to a specialist who said it was "normal" but frankly his lack of professionalism led me to doubt his conclusion. I am turning 20 in a month or so. My questions are as follows:

1.) Given that Finasteride appears to lose effectiveness after 5 years, should I wait another year (which will likely show some recession) and then go on it to maximise what hair i have for as long as possible, or go on it immediately?

2.) When the medication loses efficacy/ when i come off it does hair loss begin as though I had just started balding, or will all the hair fall out at once, thus catching up with my natural timeline of balding? In other words, at 25, will i lose hair at the rate I am losing it currently thus "stalling" the process a couple of years, or will it all fall out to the level of recession that it would have been at that time had i never gone on Propecia to begin with?

3.) I know this is a tricky one, but looking at the development of treatments in clinical stages, (i say this with incredible caution and weariness) is it likely, or even at all possible that there will be some form of medication to "switch to" in about 5 years time?

4.) Hair transplantation is worrying to me at the minute as it simply redistributes hair. Do you think a decade is a realistic amount of time in which to expect some form of stem cell (or other) therapy to make hair plantation more effective in restoring a full head of hair?

Thanks, sorry for the rather long length of the questions!

Chris.

There's no good reason why Finasteride would suddenly stop working after 5 years? If one has recovered hair using Finateride, then the results should hold up. Regrowing lost hair is harder, so it's always best to take it before it ever gets to that stage.

The answer is simple: start it as soon as possible.

Many individuals take finasteride for like 10+ years and keeps their hair

If you notice finasteride loosing it's effectiveness, then you add Dutasteride at 0.5mg twice a week (mon-fri)

dutasteride will reduce total DHT even further, of both type 1, and 2 5a-reductase

Finasteride is only inhibiting type 2 5a, while dutasteride inhibits both.

If you want to take it even further, then 5MG oral minioxidil ED
