finasteride shortage....

I thought that thread title would get you to look!

Don't worry the shortage is personal, I have run out of Proscar!!!

I ordered some from QHI.co.uk, I posted off £40.22 in cash in an unregistered envelope through the ever reliable :roll: Royal Mail, 10 days later I email QHI to make sure they have received my order only to be told they did not !!!!! I know you are all thinking 'what an idiot' and knowing our postal system I would have to agree.

I don't for a minute suspect QHI have stolen my cash, they have been very swift, helpful and efficient in the past, I think the finger of blame points straight to our great postal system (a recent TV show exposed the scandal that is the UK Postal system with 1 in 7 letters going missing in extensive tests they ran!!).

Now to my question, I am obvioulsy going to get some more Proscar but it may take 2 to 3 weeks to arrive,

• Is this a terrible amount of time to go without finasteride ?
• Anyone know anywhere that delivers superfast in the UK (London)
• Have you noticed your local postman with a new shirt or trousers ?

I have some spare proscar that I could send you (no charge). I got it for free from a guy who quit using it. It's a little past it's date (august 2004) but should be fine. Just P-message me if you're interested.

As you can seen from the post at the top of this thread I am Proscarless !!

Due to the theiving nature of our postals system my cash has been 'misslaid' (post office speak for stolen and spent on beer).

I have searched around online and the quickest I am likely to get a new batch will be between 2-3 weeks.

Pirate Commander F.B. kindly offered my some 'out of date' (aug 2004) Proscar (better than nothing) but even he has run into a Postal srtike in belgium :freaked:

So If anyone in the UK has 4 or 5 Proscar they can send me I will love them for ever and on receiving my next order return the favour.

I bailed 'Kyriakin' out in a similar way in sptember and that all worked out fine as he sent me the same amount plus a couple more when his batch arrived.

I beg you, I don't mind if I die, but let my hair live.

I could send you a 3 or 4 Fincar, but I'm not sure you would want it. Why not send one of the trusted members here the money and have them order it for you? 4-corners shipped me my finasteride in less than 2 weeks.

Thanks for the offer Mr Daddy (can I call you Bone?)

I think the posting money to anyone (as I have only recently found out) is subject to the thieving hands of the Royal Mail, that will take 3 or 4 days, then this kind soul who would would order it for me would have to wait a week or two time for the magic hair pills to arrive, and then it would have to be frowarded on to me, this all might add up to two or three weeks, by then I may only have a dozen hairs left :freaked:

To be honest I have never thought of this, has anyone from the good ol' U of K ever got a prescription from their doctor for Propecia or Proscar (for hairloss not BPH) if so how receptive where they? Did they give it out easily or did they need convincing.

And how much did it cost down the local chemist ?

You can have some dutasteride from me if you like I live in London or I could order you some Proscar over the net and get it for you in a week and deliver it too your door for a small fee :lol:

cheers oni(on) I think I will steer clear of the dutasteride for the moment although it is very cool of you to offer it to me, ordering the Proscar is not the problem, it's just that all the places I have tried have told me it will take 2-3 weeks and I may be dead by then! thanks anyhow.

where do you get you proscar from in week ?

No Problem Ty.....PM Tony Blair and I go way back, I used to babysit his goldfish so he owes me a favor.
