Finasteride question.

Would it be okay to take 1mg of finasteride once or twice a week?
I had to hop off finasteride because of the side effects and I really want to get back on it. The only way I can maintain is with finasteride.

What could be the least amount I could take a week? I saw a chart previously which showed how finasteride effected DHT when taken once. If anyone could give me an educated answer on this I would be thankful.

I am considering getting on finasteride as well, but like everyone else a bit concerned about the side effects. Knowing the smallest effective dosage would really help.

There is just so much info on this forum, a lot of times conflicting. I understand why - hairloss is not a simple issue and things don't work the same way for everyone. I was going to cut up Proscar in quarters and take 1.25 mg 3x a week. That is, if I can get Proscar prescription.

I got sides from taking 1mg proscar every day. Ordered it off the internet. Gimme a shout if you find out.

Depends on how much dht your looking to block. It takes more than a week for dht to return to normal off using 1mg dose of finestride. To be safe take it once a week, if your concerned about side effects take 0.25mg everyday to keep dht at a consistent level and yeild results. Works for me.

many people buy it online for a fraction of the price you pay for when you have a prescription. i have purchased it once for 100 dollars and have used it for almost a year. i take 1.25 every other day and i seem to be maintaining pretty well. i used every day, had very weak erection. every other day, i would say about 80 to 90% good erections. every 3rd day, i was just fine, no sides at all.

it is easy for me since i have a long distance relationship and pretty much know when i am going to have sex and can plan around it. for single guys who hook up at random times, it can be tough.
