Hello everyone.

I’m really concerned about something is happening to me since I started a hairloss treatment.

Two weeks ago I started a treatment against the androgenetic hairloss. which is:

  • 0.5mg finasteride every day. Brand: Propecia
  • Minoxidil 5% Liquid, 2 mg (1mg in the morning and 1mg in the evening) every day. Brand: Regaine
  • Ketoconazol 2% shampo, twice a week. Brand: Nizoral
During this 2 weeks I have experienced a really hard shedding process. I know that is normal that during the first 6-8 weeks to experience a shedding process, but I didn’t expect something like this. Thing is that I have started these 3 products at the same time, so I don’t know which one is affecting me that hard. In my opinion I think it must be Minoxidil, because as far as I’m concerned is the one who provoques shedding, more than finasteride. Maybe is also Ketokonazol shampoo… I don’t know. But I’m wondering if I should stop using Minoxidil and Ketokonazol and only go with Finasteride. As far as I know the one who is really going to stop my hairloss is Finasteride, Minoxidil helps but is more an auxiliary option than something that fights the hairloss, as it doesn’t has anything to do with DHT, while Finasteride does.

The pictures are on the next reply, I don't know why it doesn't allow me to put them here...

The pictures can't be attached because the forum does not allow me as it says is some kind of spam. So if some admin can help me to upload them here I would be grateful.

Prob the minoxidil... keto doesnt normally cause sheds and finasteride i think takes a while to induce a shed.

minoxidil is rapid acting

I wouldn't freak out yet, too early in the process to be doing that

Whether or not you should be using minoxidil I would say depends on how much loss you have/regrowth you're hoping for
