finasteride may be working on my hairline, but my temple points are receding

Has anyone else experienced this?
I got excited that finasteride was regrowing my hairline but then I noticed some recession in my temple points (the triagle area on the side). Doesn't make sense why I d have progress on my hairline but my temple point would get worse.
