It must do mustn't it?

I started taking finasteride afew months after i turned 20 when my facial hair was slowly filling in and getting darker,
now im coming up to 22 and its pretty much the same as it was back then (it just stopped filling in and is still patchy) I really wanna sport some sweet stubble, it's b.s my dad could grow a dope beard at my age.

Any similiar experiences?

body hair (and beard hair) has stayed completely static since I've been on finasteride, hasn't changed (reduced or increased) since the little over 2 years I've been on it. Started around 22 am now 24.

Kinda sucks a little because it's still at the "in between" stage. Hairy legs, nothing on top, teenage boy beard. Not a good look - but it's a price I willingly pay to keep the hair on top.

Goes to show that DHT inhibitors (such as finasteride) are far from a decent treatment for male pattern baldness. We need something which specifically targets scalp follicles and leaves the rest of the body alone.

Yeah, tell me about it :(

Started taking finasteride when I was 21, and that was a time I just started to get some facial hair. Now 11 years later I still have the same juvenile facial hair. (some facial hair, but very patchy) and way to little to grow a beard.

Started taking dutasteride with no facial hair at eighteen, still have no facial hair at 19.
Only me and another mate in my circle of friends with no facial hair, his seems to be catching up. Could be a coincidence, but hey, I wouldn't suit a beard so the longer i don't need to shave the better, right?

Beard growth seems to be normal. Noticing more body hair tho, (chest, back, arms)

I have two friends who grew patchy "teenage" beards by age 20 and now over two years later they have no more beard growth. I, on the other hand, have been shaving my entire face daily since I was at least 18, probably earlier.

They both have pretty good, thick hair but I've also noticed both of their hairlines have changed over the past year. One of them has grown his hair out a little longer (it looks good), the other has always had a "shield" of hair over his forehead a la Justin Bieber but I've noticed the right temple where the "sway" starts has started to break apart.

My beard seems as full as before but seems to grow slower. I started taking finasteride at 24 and at that point already had a pretty full beard.

Do you have any side effects? Testosterone controls the growth rate. If your beard grows slower, your testosterone level has decreased.
