Hi newbie here. Probably a silly questione to ask so please go easy on me... i have been doing a bit of reading on whats lacking in balding scalps and was wondering if the slight increase in estrogen has anything to do with good regrowth in certain people? i know that finasteride blocks dht which is a hair killer but is it possible that the increase in estrogen kick starts some of the pre-ignitor cells in the scalp that have been dormant? As ive seen how mtf can cause full regrowth in some people.obviously that kills the testosterone levels but it also puts their estrogen through the roof.

Yes. Many forum members have seen great regrowth with high estrogen.

But nobody knows what's the mechanism.

Btw estrogen is countered by dht. Also estrogen regulates testosterone production. So if your estrogen is too high and your dht is too low you start the castration spiral.

So for some people it is just that perfect balance in hormones that sparks the regrowth.
