Finasteride Hair Quality? What To Expect, Experiences?

Can anyone shed some light on the quality of hair after starting Finasteride? I still have decent coverage but the long hairs have almost entirely miniaturized giving that dreaded light, whispy appearance. They tangle and I get clumps usually entire follicular units when washing or brushing.

Can Finasteride return to original hair quality over time? Or do you get that weird whispy look?
