finasteride fat

Since I quit finasteride yesterday, I'm wondering how long will it take to get rid of the upper body fat (puffy chest) from taking finasteride for 3 years. Will the T levels get back to normal, or did I totally F it up?

How long before my hair falls out? This is depressing, but no hair is better than boobs.

Ya can't change my mind this time. The more I read, the more I learned about this stuff and finasteride is the cause. I'm just one of the unlucky ones.

My hair? You wouldn't notice the front & top thinning when the hair is dry, but catch me coming out of a pool and it would be o' my god, your going bald!

Wow dude, how big did your tits get?

Been on finasteride for 3 months and I've noticed puffiness in my chest (as well as some serious weight gain). I've lowered the dose to 0.5mg and I 'think' the puffiness may be decreasing. I can't say for sure and it's possible I'm getting used to it. I thought that this may have just be an adjustment phase, so it sucks to hear someone say they're getting off after 3 years of putting up with tits. Tits are nice, just not on me

Did you try lowering your dose or 0.5mg?

What the hell is this puffiness you guys are talking about. I've heard that some people gain weight but when you guys say you have chest puffiness it makes it sound like some sort of water weight or swelling in the chest. You guy are making me nervous here. I just started proscar 10 days ago. I hope I don't have to start wearing the puffy shirt.

Umm...just puffiness. I've always had a pretty big chest - muscle wise - but the skin around it has always been tight. Now it's sort of covered in a layer of fat; a bit moreso around the nipple. So, yes, it's a minor case of b**ch tits. It's not noticible to others, but it's a definite change in my body. Oh, the weight gain is most certainly noticible tho

I stated finasteride just over 3 months ago and I'm hoping that this will go away over the next couple months. I'm down to 0.5mg/day so that should help.

Apparently, this is a 'rare' side effect and it has a good chance of subsiding with continued use, so don't worry. If it gets too bad, just quit; I know I will!

NHL gave my answer. The layer has become thicker every year. Apparently I need the extra Testos so I don't gain this weight. I guess, only God knows if it will go away with quiting finasteride.

I didn't try .5.....started with 1, then 1.25, then back to about 1 to .75....

finasteride has been my only weapon thus far. ANY THOUGHTS ON NEXT STEPS?

Don't want to alarm anyone - but b**ch tits don't go away on their own - even after you quit proscar.

Take it from a 34B cup who quit proscar in 1999/2000 and has done about 1 million pushups since.

In my case anyway - and several others on various forums.

Liposuction has been a recourse for some.

Doing pushups isn't really a good way to decrease breast size. It doesn't burn much fat, but makes the muscle behind it grow - pushing it further out.
