I've been taking finasteride and nizoral for 11 months and my hair is just as thin as when i started. Ive been taking minoxidil for 2 years as well. Think adding dutasteride 0.5mg every other day along with my daily 1mg finasteride will benefit? (I have no side effects at all of finasteride)

Remember, dutasteride is a gamble. It can either give you great results or make all of your hair fall out.

My guessed explanation for people reporting great loss with dutasteride is this: part of the people using dutasteride tried finasteride to no avail. Often this will be the case for gents who experience hair loss due to something entirely different than Androgenetic Alopecia. Logically, in that case dutasteride won't stop hair loss either.
Maybe - but this is more of a wild albeit reasonable guess - some people experience extreme temporary shedding which is actually telogen effluvium as the body responds to the ginormous shift in hormonal activity.

Dutasteride is infamous for giving people a crippling shed that never seems to end and is very hard to recover from.
Even if ive been taking finasteride for almost a year? The finasteride and minoxidil isn't even thickening my hair. Idk what else i can do to thicken it :/
