Finasteride dose, results timeline for users.

Can you post the dose and how long you've been on it?
Also important, when did you start seeing results?

Personally Im going in 2 months with .5mg of finasteride.
I am not seeing any results, just increased shedding.
Wondering when I will see results from finasteride.

I've been on finasteride just one month shy of 3 years. I take 1/6 Proscar (approx .83mg) and noticed an improvement of the qualityand thickness of my existing hair during the 3rd month.
This is not to say that you will have the same experience, but I would imagine that if you're going to be at least an average responder you should see some sort results within 6-8 months at most.

3 months at 1mg (proscar cut into fifths)

My hair has recently started to thicken up, and looks much improved, but I'm still losing a lot of hairs everyday.

Patience is key, be consistant and think long term.

My doctor is a surgeon and very well informed on this subject and told me I need to be willing to stick it out for atleast a year to get good results.
