Finasteride dissolved.

Could I dissolve a 5mg tablet of Proscar in water and drink a small bit each day so I could minimize the amount of finasteride I was taking?

I was thinking of taking about .25mg daily to avoid sides. But as you know Proscar is impossible to cut up into .25mg.
Does anyone reccomend this or have any idea I would go about doing this?

You have two problems I think.

One is that finasteride is not very soluable in water, the other is I don't know how long it would remain 'good' for.

I do it with alcohol - It does dissolve and alcohol is often used with liquid medicines to preserve the medicine.

Finasteride is completely INsoluble in water. Dissolve it in the strongest booze you can find.
