Hey guys, first post so be nice, if possible.
I've been on generic Finasteride (Finax) from ProgressiveRX for about 2.5 years. I've noticed a dramatic slowing of my hairloss, but it's still going.
So, I was wondering two things:
Is there a difference between the generic/cheap finasteride and name brand/expensive Propecia?
Also, when I talked with my Doctor about my hairloss, he said that there's a 5mg pill, Proscar, that he could prescribe and I would use a pill cutter to get my dosage. As someone who could use a little more effectiveness from the medicine, would going from 1mg to 1.25mg make a difference?
What other treatments would you recommend? I tried Rogaine foam, but the smell literally made me sick. My hairline is receding and entire top is getting thin. No 'bald spot' yet.
