I know its been said before, but does anyone know when real fda approved generic versions of propecia will be for sale in the US? Was it 2013 that the patent runs out? Ive been losing more hair lately, and have a year old prescription for propecia I never used that I have been thinking of trying but worry about the costs since im only 27.

Propecia patent expires in 2013, along with the proscar patent.
My question is why are you waiting until the patent expires? 4 years to go? You will be roughly 2/3rds bald by then.

Proscar patent has been expired. As a matter of fact several manufacturers have been FDA approved for the 5mg of generic proscar. Although on this http://www.fda.gov/Drugs/Developmen...eports/ANDAGenericDrugApprovals/ucm064046.htm It says that DR. Reddy's Labotories Limited, generic propecia was approved. It wasn't.
