So about 5 months ago I noticed I had a SLIGHTLY receding hairline. So to take action I started taking finasteride, which was prescribed to me through the stupid online service "Keeps", and I had little to NO side affect affects EVER. In fact, I considered discontinuing it as my receding hairline was minimal but I figured it was good to stay on.
After 3 months my script ran out, and instead I used "lemonade" to get my prescription picked up from my local pharmacy and began taking it. This was about three weeks ago. Since then, I've had an intense itching in my scalp and I notice I've been going through a pretty severe shed. Has anyone experienced this or had any advice? This has gotten so bad I'm going see a hair loss specialist next week. But I am in SHOCK of this itch and shed. Unsure if it is from the "new" finasteride or what, or if the itching/shed is even common with taking finasteride and what I hosed expect?
