Finasteride and Body Hair

Does anyone know the relationship between finasteride and body hair?? Ive seen sources say it increases body hair density and some say it decreases. Personally i dont realy see a change. Anyways i am considering laser hair removal for unwanted body hair. Do you think the fact that i am taking finasteride will have any effect on this?

I think it could go either way. I've seen people say it's done both and neither.

You're reducing your DHT, increasing your testosterone and estrogen (I believe). I think both DHT and testosterone would be responsible for body hair... but not 100% sure of the science of this.

Not sure why taking finasteride would have anything to do with laser hair removal. I believe laser hair removal kills the follicle, so it won't hinder your attempt to remove your unwanted hair.

finasteride has no effect on body hair for most people. A decent sized minority report (anecdotally) either a decrease in body hair over time, or no new body hair being created (but it starts up again once some have quit finasteride).

Definitely don't take finasteride with the idea that it will reduce body hair, it probably won't by any sizeable amount.
