finasteride And Body Hair Reduction (extra Words)

Just wondering how common it is to have a reduction in body hair when taking finasteride?

So I've been taking 1.25 mg ED for about 3 months, and after only about a month I noticed I started shedding a lot of eye brows. Now 2 months later the shedding of eyebrows has reduced and my eyebrows are noticeably thinner. They where kinda thick to begin with so they actually look better now to be honest so it's not a big deal.

I think my chest and stomach hair is also reducing but it's hard to tell because I'm not that hairy to begin with, I'm gonna keep an eye on it I guess so I can be sure. I also find it easy to pull hairs off my arms and legs and they appear to be less hairy

could this mean I'm a good responder to finasteride?

Ive been on finasteride about 9 months. My hair is fuller and healthier and my hair on the back of my lower legs have all but disappeared lol its still there but nothing like the front of my legs. I think of it as taking hair from my legs and putting it on my head... Fine by me

I sure hope my body hair gets reduced. Everywhere below my scalp, I'm a fookin' werewolf.
I've only been on HRT for ~ 3 weeks yet, including 1.25-2.5mg finasteride daily and I've seen no signs of reduction in body hair yet at all, but it's way too early for that.

I am seeing promising hair regrowth due to the minoxidil I've been on for 1.5 months, and I'm starting to see my first signs of gyno but pretty sure that's due to the estradiol and spironolactone I'm taking and has little or nothing to do with the finasteride.

hey ruby you seem to know your topic , do you know if there is much more chance of gyno between finasteride 1 mg and 5 mg ? ( i am scared to try duta for the moment ) , given the fact ive got no sides with the 1 mg dose , but not enough to halt my hairline recesion.

I'm really not an expert on endocrinology... far from it, but my gut instinct is that if you're predisposed to gyno, you'd likely end up getting it even just on 1mg, and likely get it even quicker on 5mg, but if you're not predisposed to getting it at all or a low likelihood, then 5mg might be safe for you. Might is the operative word here, because once it starts really rolling, it might be hard to totally stop it without other drugs or surgery. I see from your regimen details, you've already taking a total of 6mg daily? That is even more than I'd want to take due to potential liver problems. As to trying Dutasteride the sides risk seems to be actually lower than finasteride at 5mg.

Liver damage? I take 1 proscar pill at night and one propecia morning.
I dont understand why proscar would cause more side than dutasteride with less dht inhibition.
Un this study they say gynécomastie 1% and 14%?

i use proscar, approximately 1mg daily. I use the tiniest amount of rogaine you've ever seen once daily only on temples (Pea sized amount each temple)

um... Hair seemed to improve quickly like after a month my hair seemed healthier slightly fuller. No regrowth or anything. At around 4/5 i noticed the leg hair but it Could have started a bit earlier. Probably at 6 months i knew finasteride really really works. I stopped worrying about my hair for the most part. Not totally of course lol. Its really subtle... Its just like one day my looks fuller, at least thats how it seemed to work for me

Similiar thing happened to me. When I started shedding less hair from head I noticed several eyebrows falling down so that I guess Finasteride has started working.

Closing in on 6 months on prescription propecia and can rock a badass beard and still way too hairy.
I wouldn't mind less body hair at al but it suck if facial hair was included.

I don't think it's affected my facial hair to be honest, even though I can't grow a beard.

I didn't have a lot of body hair in the first place but now it looks like there is miniaturized hairs on my chest an stomach that don't grow very long or thick. The hair on my body also appears to grow in slower as well but my facial hair still grows in at the same rate
