Finasteride Almost Ten Weeks: The Shed Is Over

Almost ten weeks complete on finasteride now and after an initial shed (which I was prepared for) my hair has stabilised. I can spend minutes running my hands through my scalp hair and barely dislodge a single hair.

I have lost some density but I'm not overly concerned about that as I'm aware this is a long term treatment. My immediate hope is for the density to return and then obviously I'm hoping for some regrowth. Some thickening of the crown especially would be amazing.

All in all, pretty happy with my progress so far. No major side effects, possibly some sporadic fatigue, but I can't definitely attribute that to the finasteride.

finasteride is extremely dangerous. Especially all the studies coming out showing it's apoptoptic effects on the brain. DHT protects the male brain against Alzheimer's and other neurodegenerative diseases.

You need DHT to make a penis. What does that tell you? It's not some evil hormone.

The FDA doesn't care about your health lol. They are in bed with Merck. They want you on Propecia, more money. Vioxx was FDA approved as well.

finasteride is banned in Russia, as well as other countries.


Sure it works, but an an extremely significant risk.

As long as you are informed of the risks. Like death and suicide. Cause that is a side effect of this drug. By blocking neurosteroid production in the brain. Even if it's rare, it can happen.
