Finasteride Actavis

So in late january i started Finasteride Actavis. 1.25mg everyday as my doctor recommended. I am also using Lipogaine Shampoo with Ketoconazole.

...but i am still thinning :(

I am starting to blame Actavis, even though it is at MAJOR company and should be trustworthy. But i haven't seen anything that should indicate me being on Finasteride.

No regrowth, no maintaining, no shedding, no side effects, no NOTHING.

I actually hoped that i would feel something, anything really that confirm that i am taking this drug. i know it sounds dumb, but i hope you understand anyway. So my questioning is:

Do you think this Actavis is actually trustworthy? ps: they actually have been punished because of lack of quality of some drugs, but not Finasteride as far as i know..

Do you have any other brand i could get instead of this, and you could stand in for?

What do you use?

Sorry for my english btw!

I use finasteride stada, which is also a brand in dk. However, I find it hard to believe that it is counterfeit, if you got it from a pharmacy. You could get your dht levels checked. It's free in our great country :)
How old are you, and could you post some pictures?
Held og lykke

you can consider switching to dutasteride which is a more powerful/potent AR inhibitor, but whatever you do don't stop treatments because it is "not working". Even if it is not strong enough to stop hair loss on it's own, it is slowing the loss down. You would be even more bald and lose hair even faster if you stopped

Thanks for the comment guys! og jaaa en dansker :)

I will most definitely get my dht levels checked then.

I am 21 year old student. I will post some pictures after i buzz my hair off, because i want to start Minoxidil but i need to know if the finasteride is working. I think i will make my own thread in the near future. So i can follow it as my own hair diary and hopefully get good ideas from others as-well. Anyway I am going to my doctor to get my dht levels checked in 2 weeks. And i can assure you that i will comeback to tell if the Actavis isn't working.

I would like to know eenrak if you can vouch for the stada finasteride?

I use it and minoxidil. Now 7 months in I have gone from nw2 to nw1. I know finasteride is working because is stopped my shedding in the back (although no noticeable thinning), and I only use minoxidil in the front. You can check my started thread http://www.hairlosstalk.com/interact/showthread.php/80507-Eenrak-s-story-Big-3.
Remember, if you are willing to fight it by all means, there are still options. :) You have dutasteride and ru at your disposal in case finasteride does not kick in.
However, how sure are you that you are still thinning? Did you take pictures? finasteride kicks in quite slowly for most, and only a few see actual regrowth that is worth mentioning.

I really glad i still have options. cause i refuse to give up.

I didn't take pic before starting finasteride which of cause was a mistake. I do although feel like i have thinned out more since starting finasteride. I started Lipogaine today, even though i said i would wait. So i have buzzed my hair off and took some photos: IMG_0202.jpgIMG_0203.jpgIMG_0204.jpg
