Finasteride 9.5 Months, Still Loosing Hair- What Now?

Been on 1mg finasteride for 9.5 months and Nizarol for 2 months. Lost a lot of hair between month 6 and 9. Still loosing hair now on the frontal hair line, looks a lot thinner when have my finge.

Should I wait until 12 months to see if what I lost during that 3 month period returns or should I add minoxidil now (dont really want to have to tie myself into that as well).

Yes, definitely change in semen but other than that nothing that I’ve noticed. Maybe hair gets oilier quicker?

You look like you’ve maintained quite well, I’d stick it out as there’s a lot of anxiety when starting a treatment. It’s never as bad as you think

Do you think there’s a chance that the sudden reduction in density is indicative of hair regrowing stronger? Or is it just male pattern baldness acceleration?

From what everyone’s said to me being on finasteride you do experience periods of shedding and then regrowth, I’ve been on finasteride for 4 months and I’ve been heavily shedding for 3 of them, although I do believe it is slowing down.

You should probably think about stopping the finasteride and starting oral Minoxidil 2.5mg

My Dad was a Norwood 5.5 by age 42, now he’s 57 and pretty bald

So should I wait till month 12 to start using minoxidil? Or is there a chance this rapid thinning is to do with cycles and will regrow in a few months?

I’ve also heard that iminoxidil can destroy the hairline.

So demoralising that finasteride’s dome nothing to stop my hair receding :/

tbh i cant see any thinning and hair loss, specially since u r on finasteride alrdy or almost a year

track ur hair loss count, if its under 50-100 a day its normal

Get some blood tests to see what your DHT level is. If it is still high then you need something stronger. Minoxidil isn't worth crap for hair loss.
