Hi guys, last time I posted here was a few months back lol. Thought I would give an update on how finasteride has been for me and show pictures so you guys can tell me if you see any improvements (I know it can take up to a year to see regrowth , if I am to have any that is).

Started finasteride on July 2018, .50 mg every day. Other supplements I use are : multivitamin , zinc , cod liver oil , biotin 10k mg . I am 26

Side effects:
First month - nothing at all

Second month - dull testicular pain lasted for two weeks, it would come and go. Accompanied by slight nipple tingling which lasted about two weeks also.

Third month - ball ache was no longer there at all, sensitive nipples came and went occasionally, I suffered from watery seamen for a month and a half from the third month.

Fourth month - only watery seamen and nothing else

Fifth month - seamen was no longer watery but the quantity was less , although I was having sex frequently at this point so it could be that.

Sixth month (present) - sperm is literally back to normal , no other sideffects.

During all these months my libido had actually increased ALOT , it is still pretty high.

As for my hair , I can say that during the first two months I started shedding a lot of small hairs, after that it felt like I was loosing considerably less amounts of hair in the shower etc...
The only concern I have is that my crown is now worse , but this is the shortest I have cut my hair for over a year so it could be that I am noticing my crown now more. As for my hairline recession I feel like it might have receded SLIGHTLY over these six months. So although my shedding has decreased I am not sure if finasteride is actually halting my hairline recession.

Right side of hairline a month into finasteride , my hair was MUCH longer then, if that makes a difference.

Right side again a month in

Full hairline, left side is much worse than the right.

Right side (present day), can’t really tell any difference.

Full hairline (present day) , hairline on the left looks worse or the same

Left side only.

I feel like my hairline is the same or has maybe worsened slightly, my crown however is definitely worrying me.

Is it me or does this guy even have male pattern baldness? I feel like his before pictures didn't show it neither did his after but his after does look alitta darker hairs...so mayve finasteride did strengthen his already non male pattern baldness hairs...

from why i can tell he had a very very minor case. And looks to be recovering 100%. All those new short hair filling to form a perfect hairline. Id be thankful for that. Thats perfect.

I dont have them and i am norwooding like a mofo. Those are thick baby hairs. And girls dont bald nearly as much as men so that doesnt really help. I really dont think he has anything to worry about

Exactly I'm saying he lrobabpr never even had male pattern baldness. Maybe some maturing but that's it. It looks the same to me accept maybe a little darker. Doesn't mean he was balding.

The lighting is def darker in the after photos too. This could alter why it looks darker too...

Come on guys , we all know I definitely have male pattern baldness, it might not be as bad as I think it is but it is better to be safe than sorry, especially with my family genetics . As for the lighting , I took the hairline picture in the same room with the same camera and both times the flash was on, I will try to take a better picture tomorrow.

Also, since when is a maturing hairline uneven as f*** like mine? lol. Uneven recession is a tell tale sign of male pattern baldness. If I hadn’t started finasteride i would have been in a much worse state I reckon.

That aint me, im not 26 lol. By the time im 26 ill be slick bald considering I got off of finasteride.

To the OP, hairline recession is normal with age it doesnt mean that you will go bald. You have no thinning aand that crown is basically how everyones looks. Your hair is as excepted for a 26 year old, I dont think finasteride will help you at all.

Thanks, I have been on finasteride about 6 months already, I guess hopefully to the bare minimum I can prevent any loss . My dad is slick bald and my brothers are Norwood 4 at 40 so I think it wouldn’t be a good idea for me to stop. I think because most my friends have a Norwood 1 no forehead hairline I just assume that is how mine should be, I know that isn’t the case but feelsbadman
