because ive read in several studies there are not so much difference between 1 mg and 5 mg , so i would rather try 5 mg finasteride before trying dutasteride . But what did you say relax me , if pro doctor say 5 mg is safe , it might be safe . I am still scared of dutasteride .
yeah ive read that too, im scared of dutasteride also. If proscar doesn't work, i guess i have to accept whatever happens because no way Could I take dutasteride (luckily finasteride is working) well good luck man, i hope everything works out for you

ok so according to you i dont have much risk of gyno with 5 mg ? Given the fact that i am really lean, i do a lot of weight training and i have a strict diet .

I got my first real signs of gyno this weekend. I upped my daily dose of finasteride to 2.5mg at the start of last week. I may up it to 5mg daily and my spironolactone up to 200mg daily, but keep my estradiol at 2mg daily for another month since I'm wanting to get some estradiol hemihydrate sublingual tabs and maybe some estrogel too.

damn you make me anxious , this is not because of the proscar that you got gyno right ? This isbecause of the oestradiol? What are the first sign of gyno?

exactly sometimes ive got puffy nipples , but when it is cold it is perfectly normal . i didnt have this while on 1 mg .
Do you know if it will be over if i reduce my dosage ? Or will i have to take a break from propecia ? to let my system clear the oestrogen ?

I don't know why you would even take 5mg/day. It's a lot! 1mg/day blocks a lot of dht already. Taking an extra 4mg/day probably doesn't do much in terms of blocking dht. But side effects are probably more likely to occur.

because 5 mg = 0,1 mg of duta . And for me 1 mg failed to save my receding hairline .
ANd in am scared to try duta .
Do you know if all men have a small gland under their nipple ?

i am not talking about a big lump but just a small gland

If it wasn't surgically destroyed when they were infants, then yes even those of use born with male bodies are still supposed to have mammary glands, it's a natural part of being human... both natal male or female. In natal females, estrogen and progesterone becoming the dominant sex hormones trigger the glands to fully develop. I've always noticed mine and played with them constantly during and after puberty secretly wishing they'd grow :-(

I'm finally getting that wish now after waiting over three decades. :)

Growing up as a kid, and when I was in junior high gym class, I noticed many of the boys around here had small horizontal incision scars across where their nipples should be and their nipples pretty much flat and non-existant except for the areolas. One thing they all had in common was they were all born at the very same local clinic and had the same family doctor since birth. I always surmised that when they were first born and got circumcised as newborn infants, that this particular clinic/doctor must have also done some kind of surgical procedure at the same to permanently deactivate their breast glands and this was his signature form of infant mutilation. I could be completely wrong about that, but it is my guess anyway.

Given my gender identity condition, I am so thankful that was not done to me as an infant.

thx for your answer , i am happy for you , i you finnaly get what you wish after all those years ^^. but i workout a lot , and i am proud of my body , so i am really scared of gyno .
So it is normal for all men to feel a small gland under their nipples and when you pinch you can feel it ? ; I think that i will stop the 5 mg , i dont want to ruin all my effort . i always have some really flat nipples , and i think proscar raised my oestrogen too high .

I have the same thing. Just a little bit of soft, loose tissue around my nipples. It's completely normal. I had it all my life, even before I started working out. (I was a skinny guy) And even though I'm pretty buff/ripped right now, it is still there. It's most noticeable when I flex my pecs in a weird way.
If it feels pretty soft it's probably not gyno, just a little fat which is very hard to get rid of.

the thing is that my nipples are puffy when temperature is hot , before i had perfect chest and nipples , and now i feel a small gland , something hard under my nipples , maybe this is the beginning of a gyno .

So it is normal for all men to feel a small gland under their nipples and when you pinch you can feel it ?

Yes having undeveloped mammary glands is a perfectly normal and natural part of male anatomy. However, if it starts aching down inside, I mean very overtly noticable aching too, and hurts like a mother-effer when you bump it into anything, like the refrigerator door, then that's gyno for sure. Make sure you're not letting your imagination trick you into thinking it's gyno when it really isn't.

Any yes, my gyno is being caused primarily by the estrogen I'm taking, in combination with the spironolactone basically killing off my nuts and reducing my testosterone levels to damn near nothing. I doubt that the amount of finasteride I'm taking has anything to do with it... I'm just taking that to help mop up any stray DHT still circulating in my bloodstream and to try to regrow some more hair since there are quite a few anecdotal stories out there of success from adding finasteride to the usual transgender male-to-female HRT regimen helping to not only try to boost hair regrowth a just little bit more, but also maybe help turn graying hair dark again. I'm just throwing everything, including the kitchen sink, at my condition... and hoping something works. Else, I'm going to be spending a hell of a lot of money on wigs
