Finasteride 5 Mg Gynecomastia Rate Accurate ?

hey guys , i am currently taking 5 mg of finasteride daily, it was an advice of my endo after the failure of propecia 1 mg .
Here in france , on the leaflet , the gynecomastia rate is 2 % ; just slighty more than propecia 1 mg
this is really low , so is it an accurate figure ? thx.

Yes, that's accurate and consistent with the studies I've seen. In one I saw, the rate of finasteride-induced gyno was only 1 in 250

Well after 10 days of 2.5mg finasteride, 4mg estradiol, and 100mg spironolactone daily, I'm getting zero signs of gyno.
Which to me is so far a bit of a disappointment. (see my .sig )

Really? Not even a slight hint of puffiness or firm nodules or ache? Gee I had all that just after 2 weeks of starting 1mg finasteride...

I am seeing some accelerated improvement on my scalp, I think.
I've been on minoxidil 5% and Nizoral 1% shampoo 3-4 times a week for about 6 weeks, and saw quite a bit of new vellous peach fuzz come in wit that alone. Now after 10 days of HRT, the vellus growth is getting really noticeable and thicker quite fast on my crown, and vellus peach fuzz is even showing up on my forehead/hairline where it's been basically slick bald for almost 20 years. I'm seeing a vast reduction in shedding when I wash my hair in the shower now or brush it back into a ponytail while wet afterwards. Just pulling on my ponytail, my hair and scalp feel noticeably stronger and healthier. I've always had a bad nervous habit of playing with my ponytail all day long and pulling out the loose hairs and lamenting their loss. (Yes I know... stop pulling on it or you'll go bald, LoL).

from what my urologist said when i asked him about me taking propecia "I prescribe 5x that dose all the time for bph. Its very safe. I have no problem with you taking 1 mg daily" I know that doesn't answer anything, but thats what my dr said about 1 and 5mg and he prescribes it daily and usually to older, less healthy people... Whats going on With your hair that made you up the dose?

he never mentioned it at all. He (Urologist ) and dr haber (Transplant dr) ISHRS member. Said Reduced libido and ED; those are the side effects they see only and very rarely. Dr haber also said he believes people who get ED from finasteride (aside from nocebo effect) probably would have gotten it anyway and if anything finasteride just kinda gave it a lil push. Dr haber has taken finasteride for 15 years and prescribed his own son it at age 19. So obviously he believes it is very safe. He also won the "Golden follicle" Award for top transplant dr in 2009 i think, and was president of the ISHRS 02-03 So he knows his sh*t

Im just saying both knowledgeable dr 's think 1mg or 5 mg are safe w/ few side effects... Why don't you maybe try 2mg or 2.5mg daily instead of jumping to 5mg? Just a thought

because ive read in several studies there are not so much difference between 1 mg and 5 mg , so i would rather try 5 mg finasteride before trying dutasteride . But what did you say relax me , if pro doctor say 5 mg is safe , it might be safe . I am still scared of dutasteride .
