I began taking finasteride (5mg) 12 months ago and saw visible regrowth of my hairline within 4 months with no "shedding period". 3 Months ago I began experiencing negative side effects and was advised by my doctor to lower my dosage to (1mg). In the last 30 days I've noticed an alarming amount of shedding on the left side of my hairline. Has anyone else experienced this? Has my body developed a tolerance to finasteride, rendering the lowered dosage useless? Or is this a delayed shedding cycle that finasteride users commonly report having?
