Finasterade and libido?

Thinking logically about this is thinking that p**rn has never been a problem before finasteride and now that I take it, that has to be the reason for my problems. How can I not blame finasteride when p**rn never effected my sex life?

finasteride didn't kill my erections but it made them weaker. I've quit before it could get worse

tellersquill, same thing for me man, i still get erections whether it be with my girl or with my right hand (lol) just teh thing is i need CONSTANT stimulation and the buffer time between making out and her taking my pants off is a struggle to keep it up... that is not normal.. so i quit. Weird thing is i still get morning wood regularly on the drug.

G.I Joey I suggest doing both, taking time away from p**rn, and faping followed by finasteride then reevaluate the situation in a couple weeks.


Do one at a time though. How about abstaining from p**rn and fapping first then finasteride after.

thanks shook appreciate the advice, but truthfully speaking i know the culprit, so ill be assessing in reverse order as you sugggested. Im not down to lose this girl over my vanity, even if it means her breaking up with me once im bald, at least i know i was able to please her sexually. Balding sucks but not being able to pleasure a girl after being told time and time again that i was amazing in bed prior to taking finasteride is in a whole other category and truthfully sucks more than balding.

So now my options are the kitchen sink approach (swisstemples), trying RU (not down) and a hair transplant, given that my destiny is nw6-nw7 id imagine that me being a diffused nw2.5 would leave me as not the best candidate for hair transplant?

I was scared all the time when i registered here. Wanted to know about finasteride everything. After that i was scared 2x more. And decided to hop into finasteride. with hope to destroy my erections and libido... sad news, everything ok and hairs wont leave my ****ing ground argh!!! Only bad things finasteride doing over here.


Every drug, have side effects. Just read more leaflets from drugs and compare them to finasteride.. After that you would throw proscar pack without unwrapping it straight in to mouth even without drinking water. And still ****ing and getting hard all the time.. Mind it, you're not these 2 or 3 % percent of people.

stachu, i know for a fact some people dont get sides and thats great, i think its awesome and im happy for you too man. Truthfully i know what it is, its the increase in estrogen thats effecting me negatively, maybe down the line ill def hop back on finasteride if i could get my weight to a more normal level and try it out then.

Been on finasteride for 3 months now. Hair shedding went from 100-150 to 10-20. Hair feels a bit thicker and scalp feels good.
Zero side effects yet. Tbh I can as well admit a small boost in libido.
Side effects of finasteride are overrated.
I am just 19 BTW.

Plenty of people take 5ARi's and Cialis/v**** to offset the ED. You'll come around when you're over NW3

Lol Dench I know about your sarcastic character but there's a couple things I refuse to do for.my hairlOSS. And that's wear a wig and take via gra that's where I draw a line. Plus I have a jawline of life so I'm hoping the bald look will suit me to some degree. With thay other treatment thay just fell through I think I'm just gonna let genetics do it'd work or at least until a saFer treatment comes to surface

I wasn't actually joking haha. But fair enough. I don't really blame you. If you're prepared for balding then yeah, **** finasteride sides right off. Should still give RU a shot at least unless you're completely saying **** it. Pretty sure PDE5 inhibitors are only a band-aid against 5ARi-induced ED - they stop working after a while and it WILL catch up with you.

I've actually taken v**** before despite never having ED problems (no homo). It's pretty funny stuff. But I guess if you take it because you need it to function, on a regular basis, the humour wears off.

have you tried RU, i cant seem to find enough anecdotal evidence to assure me its worth the shot.. and the fact that it didnt make it too far in studies worries me.

I've been taking l-arginine as well, I doubt it has any effect on erections.

In studies it helps ED when taken with pine bark extract, but those studies are plausibly funded by people with a stake in pine bark extract.

I plan on trying pine bark extract + l-arginine for another six weeks, then I'm out.

I am paralyzed from the neck down So I ,obviously have ED! Though I get what's called a reflex erection from touch only,but they could be weak! I started supplementing with various amino acids and they happen easier and more frequently, still no good for sexbut just an observation. These amino acids do help with nitric oxide! Personally for healthy individuals I believe a healthy diet very nutritious can help in all aspects of the body, including Erections.

I've used pretty much everything and nothing works for me, but that's probably due to the finasteride reaction I had. I'm an exception for sure. If ED is your only problem, and you value your hair (i know you do) then I'd probably add Cialis to your low dose finasteride. Of course it's a ****ed up situation to be in for someone in their 20s. But it is what it is right?

Are you diffuse? You should definitely try RU and something like Seti. If you're in the 2/3 of people that CRTH2 antagonists work for it WILL slow your hairloss down. In my experience, RU sides are pretty dose-dependent so you can adjust your dose accordingly. It's the same as finasteride - some get sides on 20mg, others get no sides on 200mg. Try RU and CRTH2 antagonist before you throw the towel in completely imo. There's nothing else out there.

Really getting convinced to give RU a go, it seems as if with a little google search there is a couple people experiencing maintenance at the least. Id need a solid source, instructional info on how and what to mix it with and someone to guide me through the concentration process. Im probably gonna make a post about this tomorow to get more help on acquiring RU.

But ya, if i was single id def still be using finasteride, but thats not the case anymore and i genuinely like this girl so i cant be selfish and focus on my own vanity and ruin what i have. But either way, even if i wasnt with her, in the long run i wouldnt be down to have to resort to meds to help my dick out, im already pissed enough that im using meds to treat hair loss.

RU is the next best thing after finasteride/dutasteride. Its really simple as well.

Buy a scale. Weigh the amount you want. Let's say 50mg a day = 350mg for 7 days. Dump it into a vial containing Stemoxydine (Neogenic, Serioxyl whatever). Don't need to mess around making your own vehicle out of ethanol/PG. Takes 5 minutes to make a weekly batch and then you've got a topical AA + growth stimulant.

Dont dump RU into minioxidil alone. Solution isn't strong enough to dissolve the particles
