Hey everyone,

I'm 22 years old with an obvious receding hairline. Hairloss runs in my family on my fathers side at an early age and is also relevant on my mothers side but at a much older age (40-60 usually). My hairloss i mainly my hairline and most obviously my temples. I use nioxin shampoo and conditioner daily but haven't really seen and impact either way except slightly less shedding then before. I am considering using nizoral 1% 2-3 times a week and also minoxidil applied only directly to my problematic area (temples). I refuse to take finasteride even the slightest chance of those side effects isn't worth it to me and I 'd much rather be bald then deal with those side effects. Here are a few pics to show where I stand Photo on 2014-04-02 at 16.44.jpgPhoto on 2014-04-02 at 16.45 #2.jpg

Thanks in advance for the help and input!

Minoxidil will only work for a couple years, see you in a couple years baldy!
Hahaha, but seriously their are alternatives to propecia that actually work, though I strongly suggest you get on propecia if you honestly want to save your hair....
Topical Propecia is your best bet, you don't want to mess with downstairs I understand that, but by using topical propecia you have a substantially lower chance of it actually effecting you. Pratically Zero if you apply it properly, takes dedication.
Also investigate RU58841.

Can you name some 'Topical Propecia' name please? I keep reading about topical propecia, but cannot find it. What is it called and can you post links to it?

Hey everyone! I recently started a 5,000 mcg biotin and taking a megamens multi-vitamin for about 2.5 weeks, and I believe in comparison to the past photo's in the first post my previously weak looking hairs and hairs that were clearly miniaturizing look much better already! I'm pretty pleased with the results already, it has definitely reduced my overall stress and seeing improvement with something this simple has been great!Photo on 2014-04-19 at 13.30 #3.jpgPhoto on 2014-04-19 at 13.30.jpg

topical propecia and dutasteride is weak. RU is the only real effective topical DHT blocker. Also, you can't see results in under 3 weeks. Your hair needs to shed, go into a resting phase, and then grow out again in order to have a change in thickness or strength. This takes months.
