Finally saw a helpful doctor

had a doctors appointment today and she actually helped. i had seen a different doctor last fall that was totally unhelpful and didnt even listen to me when i told her what was wrong with me. she didnt even notice i was going bald.

doctor said that my face (all red and acne) was seborrheic dermatitis. she immediately noticed how it was red and also noticed how i was going bald. thought my hair loss was very strange at my age. the dermatoligist was there at the time so she had him come in and look at my skin problems and hair. he said "alopecia areata" immediately. that's not male pattern baldness i dont think.

hopefully the medication works and i have a visit with the dermatologist in august too

i feel a little relieved already that this doctor was helpful

thank god i found this thread i have little bald spots around my head and this is it i still yet have to go to the doctors but from what i read theres no cure for it :S:S

i dont think propecia even helps in it
