Hello everyone! I have been lurking on these forums since my dermatologist uttered the terrifying words "you have male pattern hair loss" nearly 8 months ago. After watching both my hairline and my confidence recede I am now ready to accept the truth and move forward with treatment.

The extent of my hair loss is primarily on the right corner of the hairline with slight thinning on the left side, the back of my head and an overall feeling of having thinner hair. Also I have been feeling a burning/tingling sensation in those areas lately.

My plan is to use propecia which I was prescribed 8 months ago but haven't allowed myself to take. My dermatologist told me to cut each pill in half and take one half every day for three months. After that she instructed me to take one half pill three times per week. I'm also contemplating using nizoral shampoo and tricomin hair therapy spay.

Is it possible to grow hair back on my hairline? I'm also apprehensive about side effects from propecia. Any advice/introspection or wisdom would be great. Thank you

Btw, I'm 25 and have attached some pictures

It's not too bad man. You probably won't have regrowth on those slick temples, but Finasteride would totally thicken up thinning areas and help you maintain.

Yeah, don't wait to take the finasteride - don't let the internet scaremongering "OMFG I haven't had a boner in 10 minutes!" crowd stop you from taking the only thing at present that could save your hair.
