Few Questions regarding minoxidil and finasteride

Hello all,

First time posting but been a lurker for awhile. I'm a 38 year old diffused thinner who had been blessed with thick hair until the beginning of this year. Hoping to jump on my hairloss quickly and reverse the trend. My regimen is currently Foam (once at night before bed) but previous 3 weeks I've been on minoxidil drop, Propecia once a day for past 7 weeks, and nizoral for past 7 weeks. Yes the "Big three" based on all that I have read on this site. I just have a few straight-forward questions to the members that I hope I can get answered regarding minoxidil and finasteride. (propecia).

1. I'm finding that keeping on the brand name Propecia is going to be an impossibility. Insurance doesn't cover and my local pharmacy is charging me around $230 for 90 pills. So, I have decided on switching to Finpecia 90 tabs for $52 dollars through inhousepharmacy.com due to that fact that others on this site claim that its legit. My question is there a shed I should expect going from Propecia to the generic Finpecia? Has anyone found that dosage is different from this generic (even though they say its the same propecia) from inhousepharmacy.com?

2. Regarding minoxidil, I recently switched from minoxidil drop (been using for 7 weeks sporatically twice to once a day) to minoxidil Foam. Should I expect a big shed from switching from drop to foam? And if so, how long will it last?

3. Last, I have decided if I am going to be slave for life to minoxidil, I guess I can handle doing foam once at night before bed. Has anyone found that they are still successfully growing hair with once a day application as opposed to twice. My concern is both money and the fact that morning application leaves my head embarrassingly greasy and the scalp gets irritated.

Thanks for any and all comments!

Seriously, 85 views and nobody can answer one of my questions? I'm wondering if I had used a more dramatic "PLEASE HELP" title if I would get a response. PLEASE HELP!

short answers go as such

1. finpecia should be the same as propecia, even in the dosage
2. no, there shouldnt be big shed
3. some people have found success with once a day. though its hard to say if you'd see a much better gain with twice a day

of course, there are certain gray areas to these answers. but trust me, the more you ask, the more questions you'll have. just know this: your regiment sounds fine, but feel free to boost the minoxidil to twice a day if you dont like the results
