Is there a time frame on when the FDA will address Avodart as a hair loss drug?

The maker of the drug controls whether it goes through FDA approval and they already began that, and bailed halfway through. Avodart at this time does not look like it will be approved as a hair loss treatment.

I'm pretty sure my insurance wont cover it if it gets approved for hairloss treatment from FDA, so I hope it never gets approved
