Hey guys quick question

I've gained a lot of wait eating very poorly in the last 10 months. there's definitely a lot of excess fat on my stomach and chest when i bend over or slouche well, It's not pretty.

My doctor just sent out my prescription to start finasteride but is it wise for me to start with all this excess fat or should i burn it off?

Sides wise (Mainly concerned about gyno here) What path do you recommend

I don't think you're at a higher chance of getting gyno because you're overweight - it'll just maybe look worse if it does happen. Get on a calorie deficit TOMORROW and don't cheat. Gradually cut down on the fatty foods but the most important thing is to drop below your needed calories for a day by about 150-200, no more than that really. After you can focus on which foods to avoid and which foods are good. Also consider Intermittent fasting, but only after doing enough research on how to do it properly (It isn't dangerous, just better to know how to do it to gain maximum effectiveness)

No I've never had gyno, Being into sports in my teens i never had a fat issue or anything like that for ages, I was told i needed to put fat on rather than lose it but from december last year to the start of this month I binged on pizza and chicken nuggets feeling sorry for myself over my hair. That is why i have some fat in my upperbody now, I have absolutely no doubt all fat deposits are from that eating habit. Losing the fat before starting finasteride would mean letting my hair get worse.

I've been on minoxidil since feb and at the moment ive gone from a nw1 to a nw2 or 2.5 on it due to thinning and shedding. (Only on the 1 side i used it on) The hairline is still there, it's just so stupidly thin and there doesn't seem to be as much there as the other side. If I'm standing a metre from the mirror and pull my hair back you can't even see that theres some hair right across if you understand what i mean by that.

I'm thinking that using minoxidil without a DHT inhibitor may have sped up the hairs circulation and made them go out quicker which is why i want to go on finasteride asap.
