I've been taking finasteride for over a year and a half now with a goal of just maintaining. I took 1.25 mg for about a year, which may or may not have slowed it down. After a while I experimented with different amounts to see if it had a different effect. I've even tried .625 mg EOD for about 4 months after reading that it may work better at a lower dose.
Recently I decided to up the dosage to 2.5 mg a day to see if that had any positive impact. I took 1.25 mg in the morning and again at night for the past few days. After the first day I've been experiencing EXTREMELY itchy eyebrows at night. I'll wake up in the middle of night after about 3 hours of sleep and will not get back to sleep because of the intense itching sensation.
Just wondering if this is an allergic reaction/side-effect or if anyone else had similar experiences?
