Extreme itchiness at hairline (been on big 3 for a year)...

Hey guys, I really need some help with this. Over the last week or so, my hairline has been extremely itchy, especially at night. I wake up multiple times in the middle of the night to find myself scratching at my scalp. Then in the morning, my pillow is covered in hair, because I've scratched it off. Then my scalp/hairline is very tender through the day. I'm not sure why this is happening now, because I've been on Rogaine liquid, Propecia, and Nizoral for a year now. It might be the dry winter air, but I'm not sure. Does anybody have any advice on how to stop this? Thanks.

Have the exact same thing especially lately with the cold weather.. Have you had the gas/heat on in your house alot? I think its more so because of the artifical heat from radiators drying out your skin, I also have dermamitis so I understand this. When Im out and about in spring in summer im far less itchy in the scalp.
What I find helps is revivogen shampoo and conditioner. Also when your head is damp with nizoral or shampoo, is putting the blow dryer on 'cool' a few feet from my head and leaving it on for a few minutes until its time to wash it off. It helps to soak in the nizoral and my revivogen shampoo and really sooths the scalp. If you dont have the 'cool' option on the hair dryer just use the normal one but put it further from your head.

I used the big 3 for almost 4 years, yet during that time i still suffered itchiness, and soreness on my scalp although i did get some good results from the meds. Around ten and a half months ago i changed my diet, by cutting all carbs to almost zero, since following this diet i don't experience any more itching or soreness. I actually quit the finasteride at the same time as starting the diet and my hair loss hasn't progressed.

You will read many posts telling you that diet is a complete waste of time and won't help your situation, and the answer is drugs like finasteride etc. But as you have stated you already use them yet still have problems.
