Has anyone tried this? What is the consensus on these forums for this program? Does it work? If not, what's better?

No. Basically it consists of vitamins and supplements (everyone needs these if diet is poor, won't cure baldness), volumising shampoos (makes hair look thicker, doesn't cure baldness), anti sebum shampoos (good for promoting scalp health, doesn't cure baldness) and minoxidil (doesn't fight the cause of baldness, but a pretty good growth promoter). The only reason why they can claim it's FDA approved is because it contains minoxidil, the only part of the therapy actually proven to promote hair regrowth. It lacks the most important component, a strong DHT inhibitor. It does contain saw palmetto, a rather weak DHT inhibitor, but finasteride is much better at fighting the cause of hair loss than saw palmetto.

You would be far better off buying cheap minoxidil in bulk, getting a prescription for generic finasteride as proscar 5 mg, buying the occasional bottle of nizoral and taking multivitamin tablets.

Thank you very much for your valuable input.
Can you please tell me more about finasteride vs propecia? Is one better than the other? How do they compare with respect to side effects? What specific brand to use?

Finasteride is the drug, Propecia is the brand name - so they're the same thing. You can buy generic brand finasteride which is much cheaper than buying name brand Propecia. The biggest difference is that Propecia tablets are 1mg finasteride, whereas a lot of generic brands are 5mg finasteride - so you'd have to get a pill cutter and split it in 4, roughly giving you 1.25mg finasteride per quarter pill.

Stick to pharmaceutical grade minoxidil preparations to ensure the stated concentration is actually true because said products have been evaluated by a regulatory body such as the FDA. This leaves you with Regaine/Rogaine and generic minoxidil formulations (like Costco's Kirkland generic for example)
