I am 37 and have some minor hairloss at the temples, more on the right hand side. Using the scales I actually feel like a 1.5. 1 is too little, and 2 is too much. I would say my left side is a 1 and my right side is a 2. I have been on finasteride since 21 and I am almost certain that there has been no further hairloss.
Someone on here recently mentioned minoxidil . Up until this point I have basically been so skeptical as to to write anything other than finasteride off as snake oil.
What are peoples experiences with minoxidil? Has it been effective? My quick research online suggests it is not effective for hairloss at the temples? What are peoples experience with that?
Also it looks like a side effect is to cause further hairloss temporarily. I would hate to make things worse, even temporarily, especially if results are uncertain. What is the likelihood of this side effect? What are people's experience with it?
