Don't give your uncle's hairline any thought. Look to your father, his father, then your mother's father and his father. That will be closer to probability for you. By the way, did finasteride give you decreased libido?
My father has a full hair, he is the one sitting by my uncle. My father's father too has a full hairline. My mother's father though does has a good degree of calvitie, however his hair is very different from mine, different color and texture, does it influence? And it is possible for a child as young as 13~14 to reach N3 at once and then it remain like that for years without changing??

The thing is everything is possible when it comes to male pattern baldness. Trust me there's no link between texture and hereditary hair loss, been there.

I agree with last five posts above. It is postive that your father has his hair but on your mother's side that could be the negative influence for you. I would think that for a child of 13-14 to get N3 would be close to impossible unless there was some bad external influence like poor diet, environment, undiagnosed mild thyroid problem.

Would you say that finasteride has maintained your hair since starting?

I feel that nothing changed at all since I started taking finasteride when I was 18, it feels really like I'm taking an annoying placebo. No side effects, though...

I have the impression it was a mixture of an already high hairline with maturing...

so your hairline hasnt changed since 18 ?
no gynecomastia with propecia ?
(no offense but you seem to have gaining some weight )

It hasn't changed since i was 15~16 yo! I was 17 on the first picture and 25 in the latter. I started taking finasteride when I was 18 (because before that I was too young) and i've had no problems at all, at least as far as I have noticed.

By the pic you posted I can see you're Brazilian (me too).

I have been using finasteride since I was 24-ish. I am 40 now. My hair is basically the same. I would say one could maintain it for a long time using finasteride.

Não parece ter mudado muito - eu perdi um pouco durante esses anos todos, mas mantive praticamente igual. Conheço alguns amigos que tambem estao usando faz anos e com sucesso.

Boa sorte!

hair looks great IMO. Obviously you are somewhat receded but even in those hair pulled back shots i dont cringe at the damage because it seems like good quality hair around the hairline for the most part. So many times people come on here with NW3's and people will tell them its a NW2 and I will disagree. This time, I am bucking the trend, I don't think you are a 3, more like a Norwood 2.5.

Given you had the same hairline at 15 and just from the general look of your hair, I don't think its going anywhere anytime soon especially because you are on treatments.

On the picture with shorter hair you look like a nw1 or 2 with a natural high forehead. I cant tell where you are because some people have those temples/hairline naturally But i would also recommend you keeping it shorter.
